Media is influenced by social and cultural context because for starters lets separate the two in terms of cultural its to do with your ethnicity and traditions within that and social is a mix of cultures so bringing in different ideas and viewpoints.
Firstly it influences as because of your culture you have like the foundation of your views so for example in a more african culture the idea of homosexuality is seen in a negative manner so someone will have their views but with the way society works people of different cultures are able to not completely change your opinion of this but will help you to accept it so it can be influential as it influences people to change their cultural views because of society.
In addition in the like a girl advert media is influenced by social and cultural context as its decided to focus on a topic where women and girls are being misrepresented in society and culturally so the media try to change these views as they know its a topic of discussion in society
