1. Genre is a style or category of different types of media
2. Codes and Conventions are the elements you expect from a certain genre of film.
3. The media follow the conventions as it meets the pleasure of what the audience that are watching appeal to.
4. A media product challenges conventions is because they want to seperate their product from other products e.g Dark Knight (Batman)
